Before you start
Button names may vary slightly across system and client versions. For example, “Add Subscription,” “Import from Link,” and “Remote Configuration” generally refer to the same type of action. If the interface does not match this page exactly, look for subscription management, configuration management, or an add-link option. Do not paste the subscription URL into a route name, note field, or search box.
To complete the full process, you need a vpnLi account, an active plan, and a device that can install a client. The account provides access to the user dashboard, the plan determines available data, and the subscription URL delivers your account’s route configuration to the client. These serve different purposes: installing the client alone will not add routes, and placing an order will not automatically configure your device. You must open Account Overview, copy the subscription, and import it into the client.
It is best to complete account and order steps in a browser on a frequently used device before setting up the client. This avoids switching between multiple windows and makes it easier to confirm which account is signed in. vpnLi supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. This page focuses on common import paths for the first four platforms; Linux setup, per-app settings, route fundamentals, and more complex troubleshooting are covered in the complete user manual.
If you already have an account and the plan is still active, skip the account and ordering sections and go straight to “Get a subscription.” If the client already contains an old configuration, do not delete it immediately. Add the new subscription first and confirm that it updates correctly, then clean up the old configuration after connection verification to reduce the risk of deleting usable settings.
Set up an account with a username and password
After opening the free-use page in the user dashboard, choose a username that is easy for you to recognize, then create a login password. No email address is required. Before submitting, check that the username is complete and the password has been stored securely. Once finished, the page will take you to the user dashboard, where plans, orders, subscriptions, and client access are all gathered.
Your username and password are the credentials for accessing the account later. Store them in a trusted password manager. Do not rely solely on the browser’s current login session: after changing devices, clearing browser data, or reinstalling the system, you will still need your credentials to return to Account Overview. On a shared device, sign out of the dashboard when finished so others cannot view order or subscription details.
If the page remains unchanged after submission, check whether the username is already in use, whether both password entries match, and whether the browser indicates that a required field is incomplete. Correct the indicated issue and submit again. Once you enter the dashboard, there is no need to look for the client first; move to the plans section so the account receives usable data and validity.
Start FreeChoose a plan based on how you use data
After signing in, open the plans page to view monthly subscriptions and data bundles. Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. If you upgrade during a cycle, the price difference is prorated by the remaining days. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use with a fixed data allowance each cycle; choose based on actual consumption rather than selecting a higher tier for uncertain needs.
Data bundles include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. They suit irregular usage when you want to keep data for the long term. Monthly subscriptions and data bundles are calculated differently, so decide whether you need “a monthly top-up” or “long-term accumulation” before choosing. Do not compare capacity alone without considering the reset rules.
After choosing a plan, click “Start Using” or “Choose This Plan” on the plan card, review the order, and select one of the payment methods offered on the page: Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After payment, return to the user dashboard to check the order status. If you are not satisfied with your first payment, you can request a full refund within 14 days; see the refund policy for applicable conditions and procedures.
Once the order shows as active, do not place another order immediately or mistake the order number for a subscription URL. Return to Account Overview, where the plan status, remaining data, and subscription entry are shown. If payment completed but the dashboard has not updated, refresh Account Overview and check the order record to avoid creating the same order again.
Start UsingGet your subscription from Account Overview
After the plan becomes active, open Account Overview and find the subscription section. It normally shows the current plan, data status, and a copy-subscription option. Clicking Copy places the subscription URL for the current account on the clipboard. Switch to the client and use the URL in subscription or configuration management; do not open it directly in the browser address bar.
A subscription URL is a link used to retrieve route configuration. It may look similar to the example below, but the real URL is provided only in the signed-in user dashboard. This page does not display real subscription content or provide a static subscription file:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
After copying, do not send the URL to public chats, forums, shared documents, or screenshots. Because it is tied to your account’s usable configuration, protect it as carefully as your login details. To use it on another device, the safer approach is to sign in to the user dashboard on that device and copy it again rather than forwarding it through a public channel.
If the subscription entry does not appear in Account Overview, first confirm that the order is active, the plan is still valid, and the signed-in account matches the account used to place the order. If the status remains unclear, open the support-ticket area from the user dashboard and describe the order status and page behavior. Do not try to construct the subscription URL yourself; without the account-specific information, it cannot return the correct configuration.
Open Account OverviewImport the client for your platform
After copying the subscription, open the client page in the user dashboard to get the vpnLi client and instructions for your system. Client access is provided only in the user dashboard; this page does not host direct installer links. After installation, the core process is the same on all four platforms: open subscription or configuration management, add via link, paste the subscription URL from Account Overview, save, and update.
Windows: Import from a link in Subscription Management
On Windows, use the vpnLi desktop client provided in the user dashboard. After installing and launching it, find the “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Profile” page, then choose “Add Subscription” or “Import from URL.” Paste the copied URL into the link field, enter vpnLi as an easy-to-recognize name if desired, save, and click Update.
After the update, selectable routes should appear in the main interface. If the list has not changed, return to subscription management and check that the URL is complete, especially for spaces accidentally included or content missing from the end. Once confirmed, run one manual update and return to the route list to choose a region. Do not paste the link into the local configuration editor or use the example link as a real URL.
macOS: Add a remote subscription from Configuration
On macOS, get the appropriate vpnLi client from the user dashboard. The first launch may ask you to approve network configuration permissions; this is a normal step required to establish the system connection. In the client, find subscription management, configuration management, or remote configuration, choose to add via link, paste the URL copied from Account Overview, and save it.
After saving, update the subscription and wait for route names to appear in the client, then choose a region for the next step. If the app shows an entry in the route bar but it cannot be selected, the update may not be complete or the new configuration may not be enabled. Return to the subscription list, confirm the entry is enabled, and reopen the route selector. More detailed system-permission guidance is available in the macOS chapter of the complete user manual.
Android: Add via link on the Configuration page
On Android, use the vpnLi client provided in the user dashboard. After installation, open the app, go to Configuration, Subscription, or Remote Configuration, tap Add, and choose “Import from Link.” Paste the subscription URL, save it, then tap Refresh or Update so the client loads the routes available to the current account.
When the connection is established for the first time, the system will show a network-connection permission prompt. Approve it so the client can handle network requests from the selected apps. Permission approval does not select a route, so return to the client’s main screen, choose a destination region, and start the connection. If the import shows only the subscription name without routes, run a manual update instead of adding the same link again.
iOS: Add a subscription in a compatible client
iOS clients are obtained differently from desktop clients. First check the iOS instructions in the user dashboard and follow the page guidance to get a compatible client. In the client, find “Add Subscription,” “Import from Link,” or “Remote Configuration,” paste the subscription URL from Account Overview, enter an identifiable name, and save it.
When starting the connection for the first time, the system will ask permission to add a network configuration. After approving it, return to the client, choose a route, and start the connection. If permission has been granted but the page still shows disconnected, check that a specific route is selected and that the newly added subscription has been updated. Menu names vary considerably between iOS clients, but the sequence remains: add a remote link, update the configuration, choose a route, and start the connection.
Sign in to the user dashboard, open the client page, and choose the entry for your current system.
Choose a route and confirm the connection
After the subscription updates successfully, choose a region based on your destination. A route near the target service is usually a good starting point; for content in Japan, try a Japan route first, and for services in other regions, choose the corresponding country or a nearby area. If a route name includes IEPL, transit, or direct connection, there is no need to study each type on your first use. Start with the route that reliably opens the target page.
After choosing a route, click the connection switch in the client and wait for the status to change to “Connected.” Then open a new browser page and visit the target website to see whether it loads normally. To avoid confusion from old cache data, close any previously opened target page and test in a new tab. If the website was already signed in, also confirm that the content region matches the selected route.
For a deeper check, look up the region associated with your current exit IP and compare it with the route selected in the client. A matching region usually indicates that browser traffic is passing through the selected connection. If the client shows Connected but the exit region has not changed, fully quit and reopen the browser, then check for other network tools, proxy settings, or per-app rules. For first-time testing, use a global connection temporarily; investigate per-app settings after the basic path works.
If a route cannot access the target service, do not repeatedly toggle the connection. Disconnect the current route, choose another route in the same region, and reconnect and test. Cross-border access can also be affected by the local network, the target service’s regional policies, and peak-time load, so the temporary result of one route does not represent all routes. For systematic troubleshooting, read the troubleshooting chapter of the complete user manual.
The client shows Connected, with a specific route selected.
The newly opened target page loads normally.
The lookup result matches the region of the selected route.
Daily use after a successful connection
After verification, daily use usually requires only opening the client, choosing a suitable route, and starting the connection. Disconnect when finished if needed. vpnLi supports unlimited devices online at once, so you can import the same account subscription on multiple personal devices. Each device should obtain its configuration from a trusted user dashboard, and total data usage is calculated according to the current plan rules.
A client subscription does not automatically stay current when routes change. If route names change, some regions are temporarily unavailable, or the dashboard says the configuration has been updated, open subscription management and run a manual update. Do not repeatedly create the same subscription entry, or the route list may contain duplicates. Keeping one valid subscription and updating it regularly is generally easier to maintain than adding multiple copies of the same configuration.
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date, and upgrades during a cycle prorate the difference by the remaining days. Data bundles remain available until used and never expire. To check remaining data, plan status, or order history, return to Account Overview. When changing devices, sign in to the dashboard to get the client and subscription again; there is no need to create a new account.
This page has covered the complete main path from account setup to connection verification. Route types, system permissions, per-app settings, subscription updates, renewals, and troubleshooting involve more detail than a quick-start flow can contain. For further configuration, open the vpnLi complete user manual and browse by chapter.
